Do I have to be home during house cleanings?
No, you don’t, most of our customers are busy at work or away and leave us a key or alarm code. If your payment has not been arranged, please leave a check or cash on the kitchen counter so we can perform the cleaning.
What time does Mint House Cleaning crew arrive?
Upon scheduling your cleaning, you will be given a time frame in which your assigned team will arrive at your home or apartment. We try our best to be on time.
Exactly when the cleaning team arrives depends on traffic, weather and the conditions of other homes on the schedule. A 1-hour window of arrival is typical. Please note that if the team arrives later in the arrival window, the actual cleaning may extend beyond the window and occasionally beyond the normal workday.
What if something is damaged during a house cleaning?

What if my maid service missed a spot?
Our maid services offer consistent, quality home cleaning. Like in any relationship, however, miscommunications occur and we may make a mistake. That’s why we offer a house cleaning service guarantee, which means if you notify your local Mint office within 24 hours, our house cleaning staff will correct their mistake at no charge.
What does Mint House Cleaning maids not clean?

To provide this level of exceptional service within the assigned time length and keep the schedule on time to all our valued customers, there are some areas and items in your home that Mint does not clean.

No. Every Mint House Cleaning service crew comes to your home fully equipped to clean with top-quality products and commercial vacuums. However, because we are flexible, if requested and provided, we may clean with your preferred products depending on the chemicals.
What happens if I need to reschedule my maid service?
Mint works with you. We typically recommend calling 48-hours before your regularly scheduled home cleaning with a more convenient cleaning time. Contact your local Mint House Cleaning office for specific guidelines regarding rescheduling/cancellations. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs. What if my home cleaning falls on a holiday?
We call to reschedule your service for a more convenient time when house cleanings fall on holidays. Your local Mint office will also remind you about additional maid services in which you may have expressed an interest. Perhaps that means an additional clean prior to a big holiday party. If you’ve scheduled that extra holiday cleaning service, canceling or rescheduling requires notice. Contact your local Mint Office for specific guidelines regarding rescheduling/cancellations.
How do I pay for residential cleaning services?
Payments are due at the time of the cleaning. Most customers find it convenient to simply leave a credit card on file or a check in the kitchen counter, made payable to Mint House Cleaning, however many of our locations also accept cash.
How soon can I take cleaning off my chore list?
Call your local Mint Office to get a quick over the phone service estimate and then schedule your house cleaning. Each Mint House Cleaning unit is independently owned and operated, and while most of our clients have regularly scheduled cleanings, we are experts at accommodating first-time customer requests.
How much does it cost to have my home cleaned?
Mint House Cleaning has standard service plans that 95% of homeowners accept with no changes, however, we are happy to work with every customer to create a custom cleaning plan designed on frequency, preferences and your budget.

Can I provide special instructions for my team?
Yes, you can! Special instructions will enhance the cleaning experience you receive. However, it is very important you must communicate any special instructions directly to the office phone so that we can place them in the permanent notes section of your file. This makes your notes available to any team that may clean your home in the future, as well as a reminder for your regular team
Why do I have to have an initial clean at a higher cost?
Over the years, we have found that having that first clean brings your home up to a certain standard. It’s a standard that we promise to maintain. We normally need extra time to properly clean first-time homes. After that, we do offer a good discount for regular customers as the house will need maintenance work which takes less time than the first cleaning. How often can you provide service?
Mint House Cleaning service can be provided weekly, every two weeks, or monthly, depending on your cleaning needs. We also offer cleanings for special occasions, as well as move-in and move-out cleaning services.
How competitive are your rates?
Our prices are very competitive, whether they are lower or higher than other services. We may have higher prices than some individual cleaning services because we have a license, liability insurance and bond which in return gives you peace of mind as a customer. Do you always send the same team?
We believe that sending the same team is very important and we do everything within our control to send the same team on a regular basis. However, just like every workplace, we experience absences and resignations. We will send a replacement team, if necessary, in order to meet your schedule requirements.
All of our teams are trained in the same cleaning system and have access to any customization or special instruction on your file so that when another team must be used, they will deliver the same quality to our customers.
Is the team allowed to receive tips? If so how much?
Tips are not expected, however, the teams do appreciate them and are allowed to receive them. We have found it common for clients to tip a few dollars at the end of each clean, or make a larger tip at the end of the year. Leave whatever you feel comfortable with – whether that be a few dollars or a 15-20% tip as any other restaurant service. You can also leave a kind review mentioning the cleaners name, we do value this a lot! Our teams love hearing that their work is well appreciated!
Is the team OK with pets?
Yes! We are a pet-friendly company and believe it is OK to have pets in the house while we clean. If your dog/cat is aggressive in any way, we suggest leaving your pet outside or in a gated area to ensure the safety of our team and so the team can spend less time on pet messes and more time cleaning the rest of your home.
If you are not home during our clean, we ask that you note how to handle the pet so the team is clear when entering the home. If your pet isn’t the cleanest member of the family, that’s ok, we will do our best to clean anyways.
